Who is the real enemy ?

Our neighbors are always good enemies.
When I was in Lithuania, my friends said
"If you go to Poland, they will not give you food,
and you can't find any pretty girls there."
But it was not true. Many people gave me food,
and there are many pretty girls in Poland.

In Poland, my friends said
"If you go to Germany, they will not give you food,
and you can't find any pretty girls there."

When I was in Israel and Palestine,
I didn't want to talk about Politics.
Because when I talked to Israeli friends,
they used to say, "You really don't know the history. You have to study our history."

And I was in Palestine, my Palestinian friends said the same things.
"You really don't know the history. You have to study our history."

I know that I know nothing about the history.
But which history do they mean ?

In Jordan, I met a guy, and he wanted to talk about politics.
He didn't like what Israeli government is doing.
And I didn't want to talk to him about that.
Because I already knew what he wanted to tell me.
Study history!
But he kept talking about politics.
And I said "I don't like the government, but I like Israel, and I like Palestine, too"
He said "You don't understand me."
And he was getting angry and threw the water in my face.
I was shocked and asked him.
"Why did you throw the water to my face? I don't like this."
And he said "I bought food for you, and tried to help you. But you remember only the water."
I said "No, I remember all your helps. And I appreciate, but I also remember your water too."
I think I was quite lucky.
Because he didn't throw the glass, only the water.
You always need to be careful, when you talk about politics.
For example, if you agree with Japan in China, I'm really not sure if you will be still alive or not.


Personally I don't agree with any sides.
It's true that I feel more sympathy from Palestine.
Because they are weaker. But It doesn't mean they are always right.
It seems Israelis have more freedom than Palestinians.
But in my opinion, it depends on your point of view.
For example, I'm from South Korea, some people can say we have more freedom than North Korea.
But I feel many people from South Korea are in the prison. This prison is invisible.
Why should we commit suicide? if we have so much freedom, if we are happy, if we have more money.
Maybe I'm bad and stupid. But I don't think my happiness is from the the political system.
Of course, I was born in South Korea, and lucky enough to travel around the world.
Because if I was born in North Korea, I can't go anywhere.
But I don't think I'm happier than people from North Korea.
They can be happy too. I just personally don't agree with North Korean Government.
And I'm not very typical Korean.

I think it's very important for everyone to understand the history of Israel and Palestine.
Because in my opinion, they are a microcosm of the world.
To understand myself, we need to understand their history too.
If we think about the major religions(Judaism, Christianity, Islam), they are all related to this region and history.

I can make this example.
They are like mother and father.
Mother and father can fight each other.
Some people can ask me which one do you love more as a child ?
I can't say I love father more or I love mother more.
I love both.
I can't say one is right, the other is wrong.
I can only say nobody is right or nobody is wrong.
In my opinion, the answers are reconciliation and forgiveness.
I know it doesn't sound very practical.
But we all know this is the only one solution.
Otherwise they are going to fight forever.
It's really not necessary to be cheated by politics.

Wherever I go they love and hate each other.
Israel and Palestine.
South Korea and North Korea.
and so on.

Actually this fighting is not very necessary.
In fact, they are fighting for nothing.
Let me study history more.
Let people study history more.
Let's start to forgive your enemies, wherever you are.
Sorry, but I think your real enemy is yourself.
And don't worry about food and pretty girls.
Wherever I go, people give me food and I meet many pretty girls always.
Food and pretty girls are not problems.
I just need little money to repair my bike, and my girl, not many girls.
